Privacy Policy
Version 2026-10-11.1
1. Scope and roles
This Policy explains how the Software Provider handles information through the Service. The Software Provider owns and maintains the software and processes information to provide, secure, and support it. This Policy describes the Software Provider’s practices. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Software Provider. This Policy applies to users of the Service, including users accessing it on behalf of BTA or another organization.
2. Information handled
We handle account and contact details, information and materials submitted through the Service, technical and device information needed for access and security, and Terms acceptance records. A form may request financial or identity information. An acceptance record includes the account email when signed in, or a device identifier for a private-link visitor; the accepted version and server time; browser and network details; and an approximate city, region, and country inferred from the connection when available. This approximate location may be inaccurate.
3. Uses and disclosures
We use information to provide, maintain, support, and secure the Service; make submitted information available to authorized people; keep acceptance records; and meet legal obligations. We use service providers needed to operate the Service. Information may be disclosed when required by law or needed to address security, fraud, or legal claims. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
We may use anonymized and aggregated information to improve our systems and describe or market their capabilities when it cannot reasonably identify a person or business. Identifiable records, documents, contact details, or other personal information are not used in marketing.
4. Cookies and security
Necessary cookies and device storage support access, security, and remembering acceptance. Signed-in acceptance is linked to the user’s account; login-free visitors are remembered on their browser or device. Clearing device storage or changing devices can require acceptance again. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information handled, including encrypted connections and restricted access. We do not use advertising trackers. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
5. Retention and requests
We retain information as needed to provide and secure the Service, keep acceptance records, and meet applicable business and legal requirements. Backup copies follow the applicable backup lifecycle. You may request access to, correction of, or removal of your personal information. We may verify your identity and retain records that must lawfully be kept. We will remove information no longer needed that can lawfully be deleted. Do not include passwords, financial details, or identity documents in an initial request. Send privacy questions or requests to support@backtally.com.
6. Changes
We may update this Policy as practices or legal requirements change. Minor administrative or clarifying updates do not require further acknowledgment. Material changes will be communicated, and further consent obtained, as required by applicable law.
